Cooking Time is Family Time – Mushroom Calzone

Making a calzone from scratch is a wonderful way to bring the family together in the kitchen. This recipe invites children to participate through age-appropriate mixing tasks while adults guide the cooking and baking. Working together to prepare the dough and savory mushroom and cheese filling encourages teamwork, builds confidence, and creates opportunities for conversation and connection. The result is a warm, homemade meal—and meaningful family memories made along the way.

*Note:* You don’t have to buy the pizza dough pre-made, you can make the pizza dough from scratch.
